5-Time AIA 4A State Champions '07 | '08 | '09 | '10 | '11

McClintock High Debaters Justin Bever and Veekas Shrivastava made the Octafinal round at the 2009 Tournament of Champions in Lexington Kentucky last weekend, before dropping on a 2-1 decision to the top-seeded Durham Academy. The TOC is a difficult tournament to qualify for, requiring that teams perform particularly well at select tournaments throughout the season. Simply being a participant is an honor that many aspire to, and fail to achieve. Being among the top 16 teams at the tournament is extraordinary.

A hearty congratulations to these two graduating seniors. Both are off to Arizona State University, and are eager to help coach and train the next generation of MHS Debaters.
